Our Goal

What is Futsal?

Futsal is a variant of football originating from South America. The word futsal comes from the joining of futbal de sala (indoor football). Unlike football, futsal is played 5v5 at all ages, and is typically indoors on a hard/resin court. The rules are unique to futsal but are a combination of basketball and football in terms of their design and application. This creates a much faster, skilful, and exciting game than traditional association football, providing players with 300% more touches than in a normal football match.

While not a huge sport in the UK, futsal is a major part of European technical proficiency, creating creative and tactically aware futsal and football players due to the fast nature, high volume of touches, and incredible inclusivity that futsal offers.

As we like to say ‘More Touches, More Goals, More FUN!'

What is Invicta Futsal Club?

We at Invicta Futsal Club hope to offer the local community a place to learn, develop, and test their futsal abilities, while providing a safe and inclusive environment that caters to all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We feel that futsal is not properly represented in the Weald area and is more often used as a coaching tool in football training that tends to make sessions look more like indoor football than futsal. By not meeting the 5 pillars of the game it is likely to reduce or even remove the advantages of this wonderful sport and potentially push people away rather than engage them. It is this gap that Invicta Futsal Club wants to see properly filled.

A main point we would like to address is that we are NOT a football club, nor will we make efforts to remove players from local football teams in favour of representing us instead. We are a dedicated futsal organisation that aims to offer the best futsal education possible in an area deprived of this wonderful sport. Any and all associations with local football teams will be on a sponsorship basis and not on an affiliation basis, as we do not want players feeling like they cannot enter futsal due to tribal allegiances to football clubs.

As a futsal match provider, there will of course be game days that may create a decision over futsal or football, but we would hope we can work with local teams, clubs, and their committees to avoid clashes where at all possible. By harmonising our efforts we can ensure futsal is taught correctly and aid in the improvement of technical ability in the area.

Is Invicta Futsal Club a Business?

No.

Invicta Futsal has been founded by Olly Pantrey, the owner of PANO Bespoke Football and Futsal Coaching, however the club itself is a not-for-profit members club designed to run at cost (or hold such reserves as are needed for future events, equipment, or venues), affiliated to Kent FA.

All monies received by the club will go to the club and be held within its bank account for use by the club. To see our constitution visit the governance page of our site. The coaching at the club is carried out by qualified futsal coaches who have experience or are currently playing futsal. Olly is a member of the Finest Futsal senior squad that competes in the National Futsal League Tier 3, travelling across the South East and London competing in Futsal.
